Are you concerned about the growing power that internet, mobile, and telecommunications companies have over people’s lives? Do you believe that corporations as well as governments have a responsibility to respect human rights? Do you enjoy the challenge of making complex ideas accessible to policymakers, journalists, and advocates alike? If so, Ranking Digital Rights (RDR) encourages you to apply to become our Communications Manager.

We’re seeking an experienced, dynamic communicator to lead our external communications and promote our mission. This person will help raise the visibility of our work from research to advocacy, among policymakers, investors, civil society, and the media, both in the US and internationally.

As a competitive candidate, you will be able to derive compelling messages from our research, and craft and distribute eye-catching content. You will also know how to build audiences for distinct communications vehicles, including social media, newsletters, podcasts, and other formats, and have a track record of securing earned media, including op-eds and interviews. You will also assist with fundraising and grant reporting. The Communications Manager will supervise a communications officer and report to the Policy Director, while working closely with other members of RDR’s team.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment and relish the challenge of translating complex research into readable, watchable, and shareable insights that appeal to policymakers, journalists, activists, and global publics over multiple channels, we encourage you to apply.
